Terms of Engagement – Despidalia / Events Marketing Group

1 – Payments and Reservations

To make a reservation, it is essential to make an initial payment (deposit) which may vary depending on the selected plan. Some plans or activities may require, as an exception, that the full amount be paid in advance.

Payment can be securely made using a card through a virtual point of sale (POS) terminal, similar to payments made in online shops. You will receive a link by email to proceed with the payment; once made, the reservation will be officially confirmed.

This payment can be made using a credit card or PayPal.

2 – Event Attendees

The attendees at the event/act/activity will be adults, and this will be stipulated in the reservation. In cases where minors are present, their legal guardians will be responsible.

If the final number of attendees exceeds the initially agreed or communicated number, the provider may increase the price of the cover/service for the attendees. Increasing the number of attendees will always be subject to availability.

If the final number of attendees is less than the initially agreed or communicated number, the provider may reduce the price of the cover/service for the attendees. See point 4 of the terms of purchase for more detail.

The CLIENT shall be responsible for the acts and conduct of the attendees at the event/act/activity that cause damage or detriment to the service provider, without prejudice to the CLIENT’s right to recourse against the author(s) of such acts and conduct.

3 – Total Cancellation of the Reservation by the Client

As indicated in the General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users in Article 103 subsection L*, in the case of total or partial cancellation of the event by the user/client, the deposit money will be forfeited.

If the cancellation is made at least 9 days before the event date, as a courtesy of EVENTS MARKETING GROUP, the possibility will be offered to hold this amount for 6 MONTHS to carry out the event on another date within this period (subject to availability). Under no circumstances will the deposit be refundable. There are providers who do not allow cancellations once the client has confirmed the reservation, so this option to postpone the event will not be possible.

If the cancellation by the user/client occurs with 8 days or fewer before the event date, all the amount paid will be forfeited and the right to reschedule the event date will be lost.

4 – Changes in the Reservation of Attendees by the Client

In the event that one or several persons do not attend an activity/act/dinner/event/celebration, the deposit will be lost, regardless of the notice period. If the cancellation occurs with less than 72 hours notice, the remaining amount must also be paid in full. In this situation, the final amount of the event may be adjusted downwards depending on the contracted plan.

5 – Changes in the Reservation by Events Marketing Group

If the contracted activities could not be carried out due to causes not attributable to EVENTS MARKETING GROUP but due to various suppliers who in turn provide the service to EVENTS MARKETING GROUP, only the amount corresponding to the deposit or reservation as damages will be refunded to the CLIENT.

In any case, if only a specific service of the contracted plan could not be performed and the rest could be provided, the refund of the deposit amount corresponding to that specific service will be made, not the full refund of the entire plan, or that service will be replaced by another similar one following consultation and acceptance by the client, or alternatively a new date for the performance of that unoffered service will be proposed.
